Here you will find a variety of delightful, themed activities designed specifically for you and your little ones by Court - our very own early childhood educator, Mum of three & social media wizard. Court has tried and tested these activities with her own 3 children and in her 15 years + working in early childhood development!!

These activities not only aim to foster a spirit of fun and creativity but also help in developing essential fine motor skills that are important for your child's growth and development!

  • Mini Rockets!

    These mini rockets made are a great activity as a follow up from themes in the Puddles and Planets book.

  • Galaxy Dough!

    Chuck on your creativity cap and get those fine motor skills muscles working and create some homemade coloured galaxy dough!!

  • Paddle Pop Stick Planet Puppets!

    These funky planets puppets have been made from a printout found on the “colouring in free resource page”!

Mini rockets.

For this activity you’ll need-

  • Toilet rolls

  • Paints

  • Paintbrushes

  • Coloured Cardboard

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Decorations- Stickers, glitter, sequins, buttons, beads, pom pom’s etc, anything that will make your rocket soar!🚀


Paints, paintbrushes and coloured cardboard from your local Big W or Kmart.

Stickers, glitter and Sequins from $2 shops.

* Ensure all items are age appropriate for your child to avoid choking hazards.

For this activity you’ll need-

  • 2 cups of plain flour

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 cup of table salt

  • 2 tbs cooking oil

  • 4 tbs cream of tartar

  • Food colouring of your choice


Get those fine motor muscles working with some homemade galaxy dough 💫🪐

Use your paddle pop stick planets as props to create your own mini galaxy along with glitter, stones, sequins, stickers- wherever your imagination takes you!

planet puppets.

For this activity you’ll need-

  • You can draw planets on paper or cardboard or print the planet print out from our resource page here

  • Paddle pop sticks

  • Tape

  • Pens and pencils

Paddle Pop stick planet puppets that can be used for role play, imaginative play, developing cognitive skills, fine motor and extending on vocabulary- think puppet shows, recreating scenes from our “Puddles and Planets” book, sensory tables, props for playdough, learning the names of planets, counting resources and colour recognition.

This is a resource that can be kept for many different learning activities. In this reel linked below we used sticky tape to protect the paper from ripping but you can also use a laminator or contact paper.
